HOW WE MEASURE
All pants at Upcycled Studios are measured by hand to ensure accuracy, since every piece is vintage and one-of-a-kind.
Measurements are taken while the pants are laid flat on a surface.
Because these are low-rise Y2K pants, they sit below the belly button on the hips, not at the natural waist.
Please compare the measurements below with a pair of pants you already own for the best fit.
Waist (Flat Lay)
We measure the waistband straight across from end to end while the pants are laid flat.
This is not the full waist circumference.
Example:
If the flat measurement is 14 inches, the full waist circumference is approximately 28 inches.
Hip (Full Circumference)
The hip is measured around the fullest part of the pants, usually across the seat area.
This measurement is given as the full circumference.
Outseam Length
The outseam is measured from the top of the waistband down to the bottom hem of the pants.
This helps determine how long the pants will fall on the leg.
⚠️ Because all items are vintage and measured by hand, measurements may vary by 0.5–1 inch.

Low-rise pants sit on the hips, not the waist.
If you're between sizes, size up for a relaxed Y2K fit.
